Spotlight on Liège : the winning business location
The Belgian province of Liège has decided to leverage its existing infrastructures, its exceptional bioscience environment and its unique multi-modal transportation capabilities to become the leading bio-hub in Europe. This unique platform, called Liège Biologistics, will allow continuous collaboration between biotech companies, universities and hospitals on the one hand and logistics services and solutions providers on the other hand. With a dedicated express cargo airport (already home to TNT's European hub), international and high-speed railway lines, direct access to international ports, one of the best motorway networks in the world and an ideal location in the centre of Europe, the province is bound to become THE European bio-hub!
And as if it was not enough, Liège is now also home to the first Indian distribution centre for textile products in Europe with the setting up of Caliber Corporation's European HQ.
